Our Team

Eric Kim is a Principal and joined VSS in 2022. He is responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, as well as providing strategic and operational support to portfolio companies. Eric is currently a board member of VSS portfolio company, Center for Rheumatology.

Prior to joining VSS, he was a Managing Director at Optum leading teams in identifying, developing, and launching new products across Optum’s businesses. Prior to Optum, he was an investor focused on healthcare at New Leaf Venture Partners and Francisco Partners. Eric began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Eric holds an MHA from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and a BA in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences and Economics from Northwestern University.
