Brings Extensive Global Structured Capital and Mezzanine Experience

NEW YORK — June 25, 2014 – Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS), a leading global private investment firm focused on the information, business services, healthcare IT, education, media and marketing services industries in North America and Europe, today announced that Patrick N.W. Turner has joined the firm as a Managing Director, assuming responsibilities relating to the firm’s structured capital and private equity funds. He also will serve as a member of the VSS investment committee.

Mr. Turner brings to the firm more than 25 years of experience in middle market mezzanine investing and in the development of developing growing companies gained with leading global investment firms.  Previously he was a Managing Director and a member of the Management Committee of Crescent Capital Group LP, a below investment grade alternative credit investment manager that was formerly part of Trust Company of the West, of which he also was a Managing Director. Prior to joining Crescent in 2005, Mr. Turner was a Managing Partner and co-founder of Canterbury Capital Partners, a New York-based middle market-focused mezzanine firm.  Before that, he held senior executive positions with Barclays and Marine Midland Bank.

Since 1987, VSS has managed six private investment funds with aggregate initial capital commitments totaling over $3 billion, including four equity funds and two structured capital funds. The performance of VSS’s Structured Capital Funds ranks them among the top performing funds of similar size, strategy and vintage as reported by Preqin. To date, VSS funds have invested in 74 platform companies, which have together completed over 330 add-on acquisitions.
